While some professional athletes will indulge in the finer things in life without thinking twice, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is making certain he doesn't go broke.

Some fans may believe Gronkowski is pretty careless with his money. After all, he has been partying almost nonstop this offseason and even has a Gronk Party Motorcoach. That doesn't mean the NFL star is just throwing away money—considering he's not.

Gronkowski has put together a volume titledInformation technology's Good to be Gronk.  Robert Klemko of the Monday Morning Quarterback read thememoir and shared some fascinating passages. In that location are, of course, your typical Gronk stories in the volume. However, the 26-year-erstwhile Patriots star as well revealed he is very smart with his money:

To this day, I still oasis't touched one dime of my signing bonus or NFL contract money. I alive off my marketing money and haven't blown it on any big-money expensive cars, expensive jewelry or tattoos and nonetheless wear my favorite pair of jeans from high school. ... I don't hurt anyone (except Gord with the occasional kick to the groin), I don't do drugs, I don't drive boozer, I don't break the law. ... I'm a 23-year-sometime guy just looking to have a fun time.

While his partying oft makes its way onto the Net, nobody has to worry nearly Gronk going bankrupt like so many athletes before him.

In 2012, Gronkowski signed a six-year, $54 million extension with New England. That came on the heels of his rookie contract, which means he already had quite a bit of money in the banking concern.

Gronk's performance on the field and personality off of it have fabricated him a marketable player. BodyArmor SuperDrink, per Forbes' Lance Madden, and Dunkin' Donuts, per Boston Business concern Periodical'sLisa van der Pool, are among Gronkowski'due south endorsement deals.

There's no doubt Gronk is going to get out and bask life, especially afterwards helping his team win a Super Bowl this past season. Being at the superlative of his craft and earning a huge salary could lead to blowing stacks of greenbacks without a care. That's non the case here.

Anybody who criticizes Gronkowski for beingness a "party animal" at least has to admit he'due south got his head on straight. The gregarious Gronk will have his fun, simply he'southward not going to be completely irresponsible.
